Who we are
SVB Tennis Foundation is comprised of local coaches, volunteers, educators and business owners who have a passion for helping young people on and off the tennis court. Our mission is to provide tennis and education programming in Pasco County communities through character-building, physical activity, and mentoring.
sarah's story
The "SVB" Tennis Foundation is proudly named after Sarah Vande Berg, a stand-out tennis star from Zephyrhills who had a passion for tennis and for helping others. Sarah was introduced to tennis at church camp and honed her skills at Zephyr Park in downtown Zephyrhills, Florida. Excelling both in the classroom and on the tennis court, she earned a full scholarship to USC Upstate to play Division 1 tennis. Sarah's compassion was known by her teammates and community alike. While at university, she would often bring her international teammates to her family home so they wouldn't have to spend holidays alone. Early in Sarah's senior year, she was involved in a car accident, tragically passing away along with three student-athlete friends. Sarah's legacy lives on through the SVB Tennis Foundation as we continue to share her life's purpose with the young people of Pasco County.
